The Black Crowes ripps off MLB
When I heard the intro, I thought it was a new version of Crown of Thorns . It has the same guitar riff.
Dearly beloved are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that's in between insane and insecure
Oh, therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed

Sounds kinda similar, but I doubt it was intentional.
Holding back the fool again.

Remedy is one of my fav classic rock songs. Great great song, really. This is how Southern Rock should sound like.

Definitely sounds reminiscent of Crown, but with only 12 notes to work with, eventually someone will stumble on the same progressions others have used.

I haven't heard that song in years, but it does sound scarily similar at the beginning. I'd be very shocked if one of those band members hadn't heard crown of thorns at least once before.

Not intentionally, but yes the mainriff does sound kinda similar and they admitted this by playing More Then A Feeling in Reading...Elektra Foxx wrote:And Nirvana ripped off Boston

Bush ripped “Come Bite the Apple” on “Body” (1994), riffs very much in the same ballpark with the line “washed it all sway” plagiarised too.
REM “Losing my Religion” sounds like “Stargazer” where the intros are concerned, despite being on a totally different key, but it doesn’t strike me as deliberate

Among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected.
