Sounds like a cool show! I know what you mean about starting late. I hate it when performers do that as it makes things difficult if like me you use public transport and have to make sure you catch the last train home!

So I think I'm gonna see Dinosaur Jr. in May... My little sister wants to go, so why not. Haven't heard them, but I still have time... Any advices where to start?

Although not my favourite, 'Where you been' is great, probably the one most suitable as a 'first' dino album. I'd also recomment, well, anything, really. Their 2009 album, Farm, is probably easier to find, and it's awesome as well..

I agree, Where You Been is a good place to start. Farm is great.

Really anything of theirs is great, so you can't go wrong. :D

Personally I think You're Living All Over Me is the place to start. Great songs from start to finish.
How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?

Honestly I'm really disappointed that there's not more love for this band here, I love Dino Jr.
Like more than nirvana or mudhoney or tad and all. I think they had an influence on grunge that you can't deny and are seriously talented. J. Is a genius on guitar. I guess the vocals turn people off? Definitely an amazing band though almost all the way through their discography

This is one of those bands you could really start at the beginning and enjoy the entire ride as they evolve.

I have no idea what the fuck took me so long, but I finally dug into this band over the summer and they became one of the staple bands of this year next to The Cure. I mean, I listened to Bug and Green Mind over five years ago and was completely stumped about why everyone loved this band so much because it just didn't click with me at all and now I'm wondering if I just listened to the wrong songs or wasn't paying attention. Definitely get the hype about J. Mascis now, the dude can write a melody better than most in the industry.

Anyway, highlights so far: Alone, Be A Part, Blowing It, I Don't Wanna Go There, Just Like Heaven, No Bones, Plans, Said The People, See You, and Water -- but the undeniable best to me so far is Out There.
