Gruntruck were an amazingly cool and talented band. The first time I listened to Inside and Yours I instantly thought these guys were heaps better than most of the Seattle bands at the time. They were Layne Staley's fav. Seattle band. Enough said.

Listening to them right now. One of my all-time favorite grunge bands. Ben McMillan was amazing, may he rest in peace.

Gruntruck?

Post by Iforgotmyname »

Hey, guys I found a band I hadn't listened to yet (Gruntruck) from the "grunge" era.
Has anyone gotten into these guys? I listened to about 5 songs and they're sound is cool, reminds me of Alice, they definitely lean towards the metal side of "grunge".
This sucks...

Merged because we already had a thread, and yes they are very well received here. They came off of the band Skin Yard and did go in a more metal direction. I love them.

I always saw them as having more of a Soundgarden-y sound than an AIC one.
